Linda gives folks a day full of herding information.
It is geared for people and dogs who have had little or no chance to try herding.
First there is a short demonstration of a herding dog working, followed by a classroom type discussion about how to start, how to work on things at home, what to expect during the process of herding and mistakes to avoid.
Then your dog will be given a chance to be in the round pen or arena with some stock, sheep or goats ! No prior experience needed.
You and your dog will be guided by Linda during those first few exciting moments!
Discussions will follow and you will also be able to see the other dogs and their reactions to the stock. It is an exciting time and your dog will have as much fun as you do!
Limited to 15 slots so you get plenty of individual attention.
Normally takes about 4-5 hours and then an opportunity to take a Herding Instinct Test is given at the end of the day.
